THESE ARE APPROVED MINUTES BY THE COUNCIL

The Kiester City council held a Special meeting on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Kiester City Hall.

Mayor Rich Goggin called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm Members present were, council, Hope Bauman, Larry Dahlen, Brandon Hagenson, Jason Kluender City employees present were: Doris Troll, Gary Skartland members of the public, Jason Garvick. Judy Goggin.

The council read over the proposal by D &J seeds to make upgrades to the park.
Motion by Brandon Hagenson to accept the proposal for the park upgrades. Seconded by Jason Kluender vote 5-0. Motion carried.

Presented was a quote for weed removal Turf Trimmers of Lake Mills, IA to spray the park for $85.00 Motion by Hope Bauman to approve this year’s quote and to place weed removal in the park in the budget in the future. Seconded by Larry Dahleen, Vote 5-0. Motion carried.

There was also a conversation about placing cameras in the park. Gary and Rich will look into the cost of placing them and where. There was also stated that there was an issue with the drinking fountain, so it will be removed.

The conversation came up of the replacing the garbage cans as well at the park.
A motion made by Brandon Hagenson to have D & J purchase one and the city will also purchase one.
Jason Kluender seconded this. Vote 5-0, Motion Carried.

Motion to adjourn the meeting by Brandon Hagenson, Seconded by Rich Goggin, Vote 5-0, motion carried.
