The Kiester City council held a regular meeting on Monday November 26, 2018
Mayor Trytten called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm. Members present were Mayor Trytten, Larry Dahleen, Jason Kluender, Rich Jensen, Rick Stoneman. Members of the public were, Marcia Dahleen, Trina Bendickson, Jan Engebretson, Vickie Savick, and Carol Rinehardt.
Agenda: Motion by Kluender seconded by Jensen to accept agenda. Vote 5-0, motion carried.
Council minutes: Motion to accept the November 13, 2018 by Jensen seconded by Stoneman vote 5-0 motion carried.
Claims: A motion by Dahleen seconded by Kluender to approve the claims of $ 10,277.49 Vote of 5-0 motion carried.
Building Permits: A motion by Jensen Seconded by Dahleen to accept Permit for T Schroeder, vote 5-0 motion carried.
Public input: The council as asked about any junk ordinance that city has, that lead to a discussion about ordiances
Budget Talks: the clerk asked the council to review the last set of budget numbers that were presented. And let her know of any changes they would like.
Maintenance report: Maguire Iron was here and inspected the water tower. They will be coming next year to drain and clean the inside of the tower, as well as getting us an estimate to wash the outside of the tower. The pump for the lift station has not been built and sent to the city yet, they have billed the city and the clerk will hold the check. Benco has been billed for the portion that they committed to paying. Salt and sand is ready to go for the start of the year. Empire pipe was still planning on coming to do catch basins and repair the sewer lining that we are patching.
Clerk update: The clerk asked again about the bid from The Square Yard to redo the one room at the Quilters cottage. After Gary and Jason looked at the carpet before this meeting. Jason made a motion to have Square Yard replace the carpet for the bid they gave the city. Seconded by Jensen vote 5-0 motion carried.
The clerk also reported that Mary aske had giving her notice to resignation to Judy and that here last day was 10-31-2018.
A motion to adjourn was made by Jensen seconded by Dahleen, vote 5-0, motion carried.
