The Kiester City council held a Special meeting on Monday October 29, 2018 For the purpose of a conversation with Mayo Health Care to discuss the future of the Kiester Clinic.
Larry Dahleen called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Members present , council members Jason Kleunder , Larry Dahleen, Rick Stoneman, and Doris Troll Clerk. Members from Mayo Clinic were ,Illya Hopkins. and numerous members from the public. Doug Trytten came at the very end of the meeting.
The purpose of this meeting was to have an open dialog with Mayo Clinic and the citizens of the area who are concerned with what will be happening to the Kiester Clinic after the January 1, 2019
Ms. Hopkins explained that they have not made any final decisions as how to handle the next steps after the clinic closes.
They have had conversation as to having virtual clinic. With would be modeled after Adams and Leroy.
Ms Hopkins answered questions from the public the best that she could.
There was a motion by Stoneman seconded by Kluender to adjourn the meeting vote, 4-0 motion carried.
