KIESTER CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
Monday October 8, 2018

The Kiester City council held a regular meeting on Monday October 8, 2018

Mayor Trytten called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Members present were, council Jason Kluender, Rick Stoneman maintenance Gary Skartland, city clerk Doris Troll, Members from the public were; Nicole Swanson, Vicki Savick, Jan Engebretson, Rich Goggin, Judy Goggin.

Agenda: Motion to accept agenda with the addition of Dog ordinances added by Kluender seconded by Stoneman vote 3-0 motion carried.

Council minutes: Motion to accept September 24, 2018 Council minutes by Stoneman seconded by Kluender, vote 3-0 motion carried.

Claims: A motion by Stoneman seconded Kluender to approve the claims for a total of $ 23, 090.29 Vote of 3-0 motion carried.

Financials: Motion by Stoneman seconded by Kluender, vote 3-0 motion carried.

Past Due Water billing: Motion by Stoneman seconded by Kluender to shut off if not paid in full by 10-18-2018. Vote 3-0, motion carried.

Public Input: none

Building Permits: motion to accept building permits from N Knutson and k Deleon by Kluender seconded by Stoneman vote 3-0.

Small town and regional Vitality; There was a motion to adopt the resolution in support of the Small Town and Regional Vitality Investment Act of 2018. by Kluender seconded by Stoneman, vote 3-0 motion carried.

Maintenance report: Water is off at Parkfor winter, Carpets have been cleaned, Plow is ready to go. The back door of the city hall has been boarded up and is ready to fill the steps that lead to it.

Clerk Update: None

Mayor update: attended a region 9 EDA meeting to update their 5 year Comprehensive plan, whick will help them secure federal funding, Mayo Health Systems has contacted the city to have a small group meeting, that the Mayor feels should be open to the public, the meeting date is 10-29-2018 at 6:30 PM.

Dog Ordiances: the clerk will have a summary to council approval before it is mailed to all residents.

Motion by Jensen seconded by Kluender to adjourn the meeting. Vote carried 3-0.
