KIESTER CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

The Kiester City council held a regular meeting on Monday April ,9,2018
Agenda: Motion to accept agenda Kluender, seconded by Dahleen, with the addition of computers. vote 4-0 motion carried.
Council minutes: Motion to accept March 26, 2018 Council minutes with changes and to be republished in the paper by Stoneman seconded by Dahleen, vote 4-0 motion carried.
Claims: A motion by Dahleen seconded Kluender to approve the claims of $ 37,144.82 Vote of 4-0 motion carried.
Past Due Water billing: Motion by Stoneman seconded by Kluender to shut off if not paid by 4-13-2018. Vote 4-0, motion carried.
Public Input: Kim White was present to request that she be granted permission to have a 4th dog. After a discussion. A motion by Stoneman Seconded by Dahleen to let Kim White have a 4th dog
with the condition that she puts a fence up. Vote 4-0, motion carried.
Mowing of the Football Field: Brad Soma has requested to mow the old football field for the summer with the understanding he will take the cut hay. Motion by Kluender Seconded by Stoneman to let Brad mow football field vote, 4-0, motion carried.
Computers: Rick handed out the tablets to council and walked everyone how to check email and go to google docs to retrieve the council packets. The council will work a paper copy as well as the electronic version at the next meeting, the clerk was asked to purchase a mouse for each tablet.
Maintenance report: Kluender shared a text message he had received from a city employee, stating that the new payloader has taken hours away from him. There a discussion and no action taken at this time. Gary did not have much to report other than he had been removing snow.
Clerk Update: There is a Mn Municipal Beverage Association Conference from Saturday April 28 to May 1, 2018 and had permission to send a representative from the city, It was determined that Larry Dahleen and Doris Should go. If Mary and Dena wanted to go that would be fine as well. The clerk was also asked not to publish the council minutes until the council has approved them.
The Creamery property: Kluender has been approached by a party to purchase the old creamery lot. However, they wanted to know about the underground tank that is still on the property. And Kluender had said that he had had a conversation with Tom Warmka out county representative and that if we were to sell it there would be county monies to help pay for the cost. The clerk has asked to contact John Thompson the county Treasurer to see what the policy is and how much it would it cost the city to purchase the lot.
Motion by Stoneman seconded by Kluender to adjourn the meeting. Vote carried 4-0.
