The Kiester City council held a regular meeting on Monday December 11, 2017

Mayor Trytten called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Members present were Mayor Doug Trytten, council members Rick Stoneman, Larry Dahleen, Rich Jensen, Jason Kluender, Gary Skartland. Clerk Doris Troll, Members from the public in attendance were Marcia Dahleen, Phillp Gutt, Wanda Engebreston, Jeanette Parriott, Mary Steinke, Dena Trytten.

Agenda: Motion by Jensen seconded by Kluender to accept agenda. Vote 5-0, motion carried.

Council minutes: Motion to accept the meeting minutes from 11-27-2017 by Kluender seconded by Jensen vote 5-0 motion carried.

Claims: A motion by Dahleen seconded by Kluender to approve the claims of $ 33,435.32. vote of 5-0 motion carried.

Past Due water billing: Motion to shut off on 12-26-2017 unless full payment is made by Stoneman seconded
by Kluender. Vote 5-0, motion carried.

Public Input: There was a concern that people are being turned away from the Bathroom at the Retail Center. As well as
the cleaning of the bathrooms.

Maintenance report: Catch Basins have ben cleaned out. The plow truck is at Brad Harig for repairs.
MacQueen was down to go over the street sweeper the quote for repairs as close to $14,000.00 they were going to have a sales rep call us for what the possibility of an upgrade would be.

Resolution made: Resolution # 2017-12-11 was passed to have the 2018 tax levy set at $ 285,813.00, the motion was made by Stoneman seconded by Dahleen, vote 5-0 motion carried.

Resolution #2017-12-12 to accept the donations on behalf of the ambulance of $ 15012.15 to be applies toward the purchase of an EKG machine was made by Jensen, Seconded by Kluender, vote 5-0 motion carried.

Resolution number # 2017-12-13 to set the polling place for Kiester in 2018 as the Kiester Community Center/ Fire Hall
Was made by Dahleen seconded by Stoneman, vote 5-0 motion carried.

Liquor License, A motion to issue license to Both the Kiester American Legion and To Forever Bermas, for Monday to Sundays was make be Jensen seconded by Kluender. Vote 5-0, motion carried.

Liquor Store: The Liquor store staff was present to help with ideas to improve the sales at the liquor store.

There was motion by Jensen seconded by Kluender to adjourn the meeting. Vote carried 5-0.
