The Kiester City council held a Special meeting on Tuesday August 30, 2017 For the purpose of a request to close part of Main Street off for a combined fundraiser with the Kiester Market, and Berma’s.

Mayor Trytten called the meeting to order at 3:00 pm. Members present were Mayor Doug Trytten, council members Larry Dahleen, Rick Stoneman, and Doris Troll Clerk. Members from the public were Marica Dahleen, Michele Alphs, Jerry Alphs. Machelle Steinke, and Brad Soma.

There was a request to block mains street off on 10-21-2107 for a Market Group Fundraiser that would include a dart tournament as well kid friendly activities.

Concerns were brought up by the Fire Department as they would have bingo going past the start time of the Dart tournament. There was also a conversation in regards to the blocking off of the street to make it easier to move from the Market to Berma’s .

There was a motion to approve of the street blockage made by Stoneman Seconded by Trytten with a vote of 2-1, motion carried.

There was a motion by Stoneman seconded by Dahleen to adjourn the meeting vote, 3-0 motion carried.
