The Kiester City council held a regular meeting on Monday August 14,2017


Mayor Trytten called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.  Members present were Mayor Doug Trytten, council members   Rick Stoneman, Larry Dahleen, Rich Jensen, Jason Kluender and Gary Skartland. Clerk Doris Troll, Members from the public in attendance were Marcia Dahleen.  



Agenda: Motion by Kluender seconded by Jensen to accept agenda with additions of Kiester Market, vote 5-0, motion carried


Council minutes: Motion to accept July 24, 2017 Council minutes Jensen seconded by Dahleen vote 5-0 motion carried.


Claims: A motion by Dahleen seconded by Kluender to approve the claims of $52012.47 Vote of 5-0 motion carried.    


Past Due water billing: Motion to shut off on 8-21-2017 by Stoneman seconded by Jensen. Vote 5-0, motion carried.


Building Permits: Motion to approve building permits for R Wigern, P Alphs by, Stoneman seconded by Kluender, vote 5-0, motion carried.


Maintenance report:    Gary informed the council that her he is starting to get bids for next year’s street repairs. The letters on the Welcome to Kiester Sign have been replaced. Cat will be bringing down a front-end loader for the city to demonstrate next week.  There are a few water issues in town that he asked called for help on.



Clerk update:  the clerk informed the council where she at with getting all the data up to date into the new program.


Kiester Market: Jensen reported that he had received a bid given to purchase the bandsaw and tenderizer for $ 1000.00.   A motion to sell the bandsaw and tenderizer for $ 1000.00 with the purchaser coming to pick up was made by Stoneman seconded by Kluender. Vote 5-0, motion carried.


Here was motion by Kluender seconded by Jensen to adjourn the meeting. Vote carried 5-0.
