The Kiester City council held a regular meeting on Monday March 28, 2015
Mayor Trytten called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Members present were Mayor Doug Trytten, council members Rich Jensen, Rick Stoneman, Larry Dahleen Jason Kluender and Clerk Doris Troll City Maintenance Gary Skartland, Members from the public in attendance were: Marcia Dahleen and Stacie Thompson from Habitat for Humanity
Agenda: Motion by Kluender seconded by Stoneman to accept the agenda as printed, vote 5-0 motion carried.
Council minutes: Motion by Dahleen seconded by Kluender to accept meeting minutes of 3-3-14-2016, vote 5-0 motion carried.
Claims: A motion by Jensen seconded Kluender to approve the claims of $ 21691.36 vote of 5-0 motion carried.
Public Input: Staci Thompson presented the council with information in regards to Habitat for Humanity and the programs that they have available for residents.
Building permits: were presented for Dan Penny, and Shelly Steinke. A Motion by Jensen seconded by Kluender to approve building permits. Vote 5-0 motion carried.
Commercial shoot: The clerk was informed again by the production company that we say nothing to the press about the commercial shoot, also as of know the project is on hold Due to circumstance outside of Pfizer’s control we are facing a delay in our TV production and will likely be a few weeks before we will be back in touch with further updates.
Street bids: there was motion by Jensen seconded by Kluender to accept the bid from WW blacktopping vote, 5-0, motion carried.
Pick up Bids: The sealed bids were opened for the city pick up with the winning bid going to Guy Oldfather for $550.00 motion by Jensen seconded by Stoneman to accept Oldfather’s bid
Vote, 5-0 motion carried.
Maintenance report: Gary informed the council that he will be meeting with Rural Water in regards to mapping the city water systems.
Minnesota Basic code: Motion by Jensen seconded by Stoneman to adapt Title XIII General Offences as is . Vote 5-0 motion carried.
A motion to adjourn was made by Kluender seconded by Stoneman with a vote of 5-0 motion passed.
The next city council meeting will be held on Thursday April 11, 2016 at 7 pm.
